Sims 2 FAQ

Object Usage & Disclaimer

Objects for The Sims 2 are BETA at this point. The tools to make and recolour these objects are still in the beta stage and so you download and use the objects found on this site at your own risk. It's recommended that you backup your Sims 2 files before installing any downloaded objects. That said, I have tested them all in my game and they work fine for me.

Some Sims 2 objects require CE packages (Colour Enabler Packages). They can be downloaded here: http://sims.ambertation.de/cep.shtml.

How do I install your objects?

Unzip and place here:
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads

You can create a Randomleft directory (in Downloads) for items from this site if you want to keep your objects organized.

If you require further help, I recommend that you visit the forum at The Sims Resource where there is much help to be found with game issues and installation.

I've tested each piece and they work fine in my game but download at your own risk. Just make sure you have the required expansion packs before downloading. See each item for expansion pack requirements.

I used magic cookie 3099. I didn't get an original cookie, just took a number that wasn't listed in the Yahoo group so there may be possible conflicts. If you have an object ID conflict, check at TSR for details on how to fix it. I really don't know! Or delete my stuff - that'll work :)

How do I install your objects?

Unzip and place here:
Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Downloads (or whatever path it is to your Downloads directory)
